A Place of Natural Beauty

I discovered Campobello a number of years ago and immediately fell in love with the easy access it provides to whales, eagles and other wildlife. I was captivated. Here was a place where whales breach just offshore, eagles soar overhead, and wildlife encounters feel effortless rather than elusive. The island's genuine warmth—reflected in both its natural beauty and welcoming residents—drew me back again and again.
Over countless return visits, I've captured more than 50,000 images and I'm just getting started.
Campobello is located just across the bridge from Lubec, Maine and offers an accessible escape into nature's theater. I highly recommend planning a visit to enjoy the island's pristine landscapes, experience a whale watch or learn about the rich history preserved at Roosevelt Campobello International Park—the beloved summer retreat of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevel. Campobello is a hidden gem that promises experiences that linger long after you've crossed back over the bridge.
